We wanted a space that reflects us, a warm place to live, where interaction would set the tone. Italy was obvious. We love this country, its food is tasty and affordable, and that’s what we wanted to share via a great restaurant in the heart of Nice. After all, indulgence is also part of our history: when we travel, we always visit the best spot we can find in town, and our meals always end on a sweet note! Our ambition: allow our guests to live the experience of an authentic trattoria with home-made and accessible cuisine, based on delicious Italian products, in an extraordinary and friendly setting.
Ivano La Corte
Originally from Piedmont, this chef who accompanies us on a daily basis first worked in Italy at Trattoria del Bivio, where he learned everything he knows. He then worked in a Michelin starred restaurant before becoming a consultant and trainer at the Ecole française de Pizzaïolo. For him, cooking is an art built on passion and love. Gastronomy tells a journey, a story, a culture of a country. It is this soul that he infuses into the Italian cuisine of Casa Leya, through the secrets and the attention to authentic details. For this, he remains inspired by the recipes and customs of his great-grandmother, “the great nonna”…
